We would like to thank everyone who gave feedback on our recent school uniform discussion. As many of you are aware, we have been considering whether to continue with the School Rugby Top as one of our official uniform options. Whilst we certainly think that the Rugby Top is probably one of the best-looking items on our uniform list, unfortunately it is also one of our more expensive items and has been increasing in production cost. Given a significant number of children do not wear the Rugby Top as it can be quite tight and difficult to get on and off, we have recently discussed the future of the Rugby Top as a uniform option.
Our recent school community surveys through Facebook and Schoolzine, showed that the majority of parents are in support of stopping the Rugby Top as a uniform option. We have now discussed this further at our last SAC meeting, and a final decision has been made to discontinue the Rugby Top as a uniform option.
What does this mean?
The Rugby Top will remain an official item of our school uniform but will be phased out over time, as we will not be purchasing any further stock of the Rugby Top.
Your children may still continue to wear the Rugby Top if they choose to.
You can continue to purchase Rugby Tops from our uniform shop, however once our current stock has run out, no further stock will be purchased.
We will continue to stock our other uniform options. For anyone wanting an alternative to the Rugby Top, please consider either the Full Zip Polar Fleece Jacket or the Windcheater.
Thank you again for your input to this recent discussion. Karen Sutherland Chairperson, SAC
Working with Vulnerable People Card
15 Sep 2021
Current Education Department Policy requires that all volunteers at the school – including in the classroom, on an excursion, in the canteen or at a fundraising event – must hold a Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP). If you do not currently have a card and would like to help at the school, we recommend you apply now – the process is easy and costs $19.80 for volunteers for 3 years. Please visit https://bit.ly/2Xs06Im to apply.
The school office needs to keep a copy of all cards, so once you get one, or if you already have a card and haven't supplied a copy to the school office, please can you either email a scan or photograph of the card to : email@example.com or drop into the office and a staff member can take a copy of the card. Remember when your card expires to supply a copy of the renewed card to the school office.

Please find attached a notice which went home today with students who are the eldest in their family Re: the parents and friends fundraiser - scavenger hunt.
Welcome back for Term 3. Following on from a direction from the Tasmanian Government, we now have some changed arrangements in place for parents and carers when visiting schools.
You will now need to check in using the Check-in TAS app when entering school buildings; this includes classrooms, the office or the canteen. However you don’t need to check-in when dropping off and picking up. If you are not entering the school building.
Students are also NOT required to check-in, these arrangements only apply to adults.
We have posters displayed in and around the school site with the QR code to use for checking in.
For those who do not have a smart phone and need to manually check-in, please come to the school office for assistance.
We appreciate your support in ensuring we are doing the right thing. Let’s continue to do all we can to keep our schools safe.
